Summer 2019, Airport restaurateur Autogrill VFS F&B have invited the travelers at Tan Son Nhat, Noi Bai, Da Nang, Cam Ranh and Phu Quoc international airports to discover the authentic flavor of Vietnam’s “finest” coffee. It brings people a new set of unique aroma’s and sweet after taste of the highest quality coffee beans from the central highlands, Bao Loc, Lam Dong province, which are selectively harvested, honey processed and greenhouse dried.
The excellent drink is officially launched at all coffee shops operated by Autogrill VFS F&B including Star Café, Espresso To Go and Puro Gusto.
Coffee quality and taste is determined by many factors. There is a long journey before arriving in the cup of Vietnam’s “finest” coffee.
Only the ripe coffee fruit are picked and carefully selected by hand. The result is higher quality coffee beans with consistent taste and flavor.
The delicious sweet-after-taste of the genuine coffee is thanks to the honey process. Although it is called “honey”, there is no honey involved in this process. Honey actually refers to the sticky, fruity part (mucilage) around the bean, which is kept on the beans during the drying process. Managing this process requires daily dedication and a high level of skills.
Coffee drying is one of the most important processes. Our supplier has dried the coffee beans on tables in a greenhouse (instead of outside on the ground) and are protected from occasional rain fall, high humidity during the night and early morning dew. This ensures a more homogeneous airflow around the coffee beans.
And after all, thanks to the hard work from coffee farmers, roasters and baristas, we are able to appreciate the flavorful heights of a coffee bean.
